Dermal filler are made of a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid which is biocompatible with the human body, these products are eventually broken down naturally.
How is the treatment administered?
Dermal filler is injected into the area to be treated, this is done through a very fine needle and depending on how sensitive you are and for your comfort, our doctor will also use a local anesthetic. The procedure takes on average 30 minutes to complete. Results are immediate and depending on which product you select the results can have lasting effects from upto 12 months.
Areas for treatments?
Dermal filler is used to add volume and fullness to the skin and to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds), the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth to the jaw line (marionette lines), or if you simply want to add fullness to your lips.
Post procedure recommendations
Do not massage or rub the treated area. Do not use makeup until the next morning. Try to stay in an air conditioned room for 4 hours after treatment. It is recommended that you avoid all activities that raise the body temperature for at least 24 hours after procedure. Avoid sport, dancing, sunbathing, hot baths, sauna and spa activities. Also avoid hot drinks and excessive alcohol.
Post procedure side effects
For the first hour after the procedure numbness or tingling may occur due to the local anesthetic. At the sight of the procedure redness and slight swelling may occur. These side effects will disappear within 24 hours. As with any injection, bruising may occur.
